7 years 8 months old...

I haven't written a blog post in over a year! I'm unsure how that has happened, life goes so fast!

The girls are now 7 years 8 months old.

They are in their last year of infant school and have a place secured to start junior school in September.

Cara is doing so well in school. She can now read and write and loves after school club, her friends and reading in general. Her favourite book series is the supertato books series and she has all of the collection. She still very much loves her food with McDonald's, ice cream and sweets still being a firm favourite. She absolutely adores any kind of celebration constantly asking Alexa when Halloween, Easter and Christmas will be.

Charlotte is still not much of a fan of academic learning and as is a little behind on her reading, writing and phonics. She is getting there though she just much prefers her arts and crafts and play based learning still. She absolutely adores making friends and makes them wherever we go. On a recent park trip she made friends with a little girl and they were playing with her doll Rosie together. She even shared her cucumber from her lunch with her.

Both girls are now in Brownies. Charlotte is still a little unsure about it as Rainbows was much more play based which she prefers but she likes it when she goes. Its nice as some of their school friends and friends they go to holiday club with also attend.

We have two holidays booked which the girls are very excited about. One is to the same caravan park we went to last year and the other is to Tunisia. This will be the girls first time going on a plane and going abroad so they are very excited.

We had a lovely Christmas and Easter with family at my parents which the girls thoroughly enjoyed.

I can not believe that they will be a in less than 4 months. They are already very excited about their birthday and are already talking about what they would like to do for it.

I'm looking forward to what the rest of 2026 brings!
