Christmas 2022

Christmas 2022 was definitely the first year that the girls really understood what Christmas was all about! As soon as the Christmas tree went up they began asking for presents, wanting to read all their Christmas books and running downstairs every morning to see if 'he'd been!' yet.

We had a few things planned for christmas. This year the girls were at their Daddys from 11am Christmas Day until 4pm Boxing day so we had the excitement of Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. The girls learnt all the Christmas songs at nursery and even had Father Christmas visit!

We also went to a pantomime with my parents. Charlotte loved it and didnt want it to end. Cara enjoyed it but got a little restless towards the end.

We went to a local soft play centre as my brothers band were playing there and they had a Christmas party on. A couple of their cousins were there too and they loved playing with them and dancing to the Christmas music.

We also had my parents round for an early Christmas dinner. The girls loved the crackers and the Christmas tableware. They are not overly keen on roasts at the moment but Charlotte loves turkey (as long as you call it chicken!) and Cara loves yorkshire puddings.

Christmas Eve the girls were bouncing off the walls with excitement! They both had a Christmas Eve box to open with a book, Christmas pajamas, fuzzy socks, mug, hot chocolate and Christmas colouring.

They were also very excited to put out a cookie, mince pie and milk for Father Christmas and a carrot for Rudolph!

I was very suprised Christmas Morning when I had to wake the girls up as they still were not awake at 07:30am! They were really excited to see open their stockings and open their presents! Charlotte thanked Santa after opening each one and they had a chocolate Santa each for breakfast!

The girls then went to their Daddys and had a lovely time with him and stayed at their their Daddys Mum and Stepdad Nanny and Grandad on Christmas day.

Boxing day is my nieces birthday so we went there and enjoyed a lovely buffet, spending time with family and more presents!

Christmas 2022 was lovely and we are looking forward to 2023. It will be a big year as the girls will turn 5 and start school!
